For some information on the Chinese Zodiac sign for this year - read on

2011 is the year of the Rabbit, Hare or Cat!

This year runs from 3rd February 2011
until 23rd January 2012

The Rabbit is the fourth sign of the zodiac.

The Rabbit is a gentle type of character, but occasionally given
to fits of energy (mad as a March hare!).
In some parts of China it is also called the Year of the Cat.
There are many legends which can help with ideas.
Rabbits are gregarious, Hares are more solitary.

To paint the Rabbit, think about the surface of the animal.
Remember the Rabbit is a small animal and your painting should
show the long ears listening for danger, and the soft fur.
Rabbits are often associated with the Moon Goddess -
here one is looking up at the moon.
